Hello Amazing MLC Instructors!
What a week – definitely one of top 5 Powder Days of the seasons happened this week – depending on what day you were here! Today is 20 degrees and incredible groomers and packed powder! This weekend is going to be awesome – Pride Day tomorrow and Easter on Sunday! We’re looking to get another 4 to 8 inches tomorrow with temps in the low 20’s – it’s winter again – get it while you can! Also, we are in the home stretch of the season with only 9 more days of 7 day per week operations – and every person on the schedule counts! If you are scheduled we are counting on you to be here this weekend and next week!

Extra Help Tomorrow and Sunday
With all the new snow we’ve seen a huge interest in people coming to take lessons – plus tomorrow is Pride Day with an awesome price on lessons which generated quite a lot of interest! We’d love for you to come teach tomorrow or Sunday this weekend if you are able. Please reply all to this email if you can pick up tomorrow or Sunday! It’s going to be a fun weekend to be on the mountain!
Don’t Call In … [fill in the blank]
Remember that we allow lesson reservations based on the number of instructors we have on the schedule. If you “call in” for a non-emergency like … “I’m tired” or “I woke up late” or “I wore the wrong shoes” or “You don’t need me right?” or “I’m going to the beach” – you are really hurting the guests and instructors who are here that day. This is NOT mid-season where we have many extra instructors. So, please DO NOT call in unless you are really sick – we are all counting on you to be here for that shift. Plus it’s been great skiing and riding – so let’s push through the final days of 7 day per week operations!
That said, please don’t come to work sick! Covid-19 is still a thing and infections are starting to go up; even if you think it’s “just a cold”, please use the Call In Sick form on the portal (http://mhm.snowproportal.com/calling-in-sick ) so the Covid-19 Response Team (CRT) can follow up with you to determine if you should or should NOT come to work. Thank you!
Part Time Instructors – Check your shifts!
If you think you have completed your commitment for the season in teaching hours and number of available shifts that you requested to work (not special pick up shifts that earned you a Work A Day Voucher), please confirm that you are NOT scheduled for days that you are not planning to be here. If you look back, and added pick up shifts that were special requested shifts and we added a “Work A day Voucher” to your shift for that day, that shift does not count towards your shift original shift commitment, unless you actually rescheduled those days. You should run the report on the Dayforce website – a tutorial is located here: https://mhm.snowproportal.com/training/day-force-help/teaching-hour-report – the report you should to see if you have any future days scheduled is called, “Instructor Scheduled Days for the Season.”
Last 5th Grade Ski & Snowboard Days – Next Thursday 4/21
If you still need to pick up some shifts to fulfill your commitment the following days would be great: April 21st. Mid-valley Elementary School in Odell had to cancel last Tuesday’s visit due to snow in the valley! If you were here at Meadows that day – you remember it well! One of top 5 pow days of the season – and in April! Mid-valley has rescheduled for Thursday April 21, 2022. It’s a super fun time so please join us by signing up to work April 21st by replying all to this email and we’ll add you to the schedule.
Member School Clinic – Alpine Only – April 24 – only 8 spots left!
We have added another clinician to Sunday 4/24. Saturday 4/23 is currently full. If you want t switch to Sunday you can, but you’ll need to cancel your sign up for the Saturday Clinic. How do I cancel a clinic you say? Click the “Cancel a Clinic Sign Up Here” link on the homepage of the Instructor Portal – https://mhm.snowpropoportal.com
