Guest Comments – You’re Awesome
About Colin Root: Colin is an excellent instructor. Please continue to offer telemark clinics and events!!!!
About Matt Hilla: What an absolute experience. Within an hour, Matt got me making turns and controlling my skis. Great instructor that will build your confidence and teach you body mechanics. Great energy. Highly recommend.
About Pat Scallon: Pat was so great. I am in my 40s and used to ski a lot. Pat was amazing for teaching me what is new to skiing in the last 20 years and how to change your body position to the new equipment. I asked for help to not get hurt as I am older and not as strong. He focused on helping me hold my position where I reduced effort and had more flexibility. Absolutely incredible. Could not believe how much I learned in two hours. Have told five people already about how great my experience has been doing lessons as an adult at Meadows. Really wonderful time skiing. Gave me the confidence to help my kiddo get on Buttercup. I am also feeling really confident in my skills again to take on Greens/Blues. I took three lessons total. My last two were with Pat.
About Pat (again!): Pat Scallon was the best instructor I have had at Meadows. He was able to help me identify changes in my technique that were easy for me to understand and implement. In particular, he helped me finally achieve a breakthrough with parallel turns which have eluded me. This was huge for me to be able to ski more safely and efficiently without tiring nearly as much. I also appreciated Pat’s perspective as an older skier like I am. He could more easily relate to the mobility issues I have and suggest techniques to help me improve despite them.
About JackSun: JackSun really helped me build confidence in my technique today, he was very patient and listened to my concerns and coached me through them.
About Imm-o: Immo did a fantastic job of breaking down ski physics into digestible steps.
About Adam Reiner: I am an anxious learner, and I left that ski lesson with a smile on my face and went on to have the best ski day of my life! Adam was patient, supportive, and fun! There was also a very nice man named Torin who helped me get all sorted out at before my lesson. Thank you for creating such a welcoming atmosphere!
Yours in snowsports – see you this weekend!
