PREVIEW DAY SUNDAY 11.23
We will open for another preview day tomorrow Sunday 11.23. Good news on this one is that employees will be able to ski and ride. Instructors can pick up your passes in the lounge from 9am – 11:30am and 12:45pm – 3pm. Outside of those timeframes it is likely no one will be available to issue your pass so please plan accordingly. Operating hours tomorrow for lifts will be 11am – 4pm. We will have one group lesson at 12pm.

A couple of notes in order to receive your pass you must have done the following:
  1. Filled out your employee paperwork
  2. Turned in your scheduled and had it approved

For those that do not have these things done yet we can help you with it tomorrow as long as you come during the designated timeframes.

We do hope to open for the season soon, keep your fingers crossed that the weather cooperates early in the week.

UPHILL TRAFFIC POLICY
With the move to setting up ER we are no longer allowing up-hill travel within the resort.  Please communicate the following to those who enquire:

Backcountry access to the wilderness areas adjacent to the resort via two designated travel routes along our North and South Boundaries (see https://www.skihood.com/the-mountain/safety/avalanche-reduction-operations for details)

Designated hiking routes are:

Heather Canyon Runout – Proceed uphill from the Hood River Meadows Parking Lot to the first sign just below Gods Wall.  If the sign is CLOSED exit the Mt. Hood Meadows Permit Area towards the Newton Drainage.  Please do not travel further uphill on the Heather Canyon Runout.

If the sign is OPEN continue traveling uphill on the Heather Canyon Runout to the CLOSED sign directly adjacent to the bottom of the Heather Canyon Chairlift.  Turn right exiting the Mt. Hood Meadows Permit Area towards the Newton drainage.

South Boundary – From the main parking lot proceed uphill toward the bottom of the Vista Chairlift.   Turn left at the bottom of  Vista exiting the Mt. Hood Meadows Permit  Area.

I hope to see many of you up here tomorrow for some skiing riding!
