Hi everyone,

I see a lot of you have successfully submitting your online returning instructor application. For those who haven’t had the chance yet here is the process.

 

HOW TO APPLY

Go to www.skihood.com

From the home page you will need to page down to the bottom

On the lower lift side you will see “Jobs”

Once on the “Jobs” page select “Current Openings” This will bring you to “Search Openings”

If you want to see all job openings in the company do not select a “Location” or “Department” and click on ‘Search’

If you want to get to the point, select “Mt Hood Meadows” as a location, select “Ski School” as the department. Then hit the “Search” icon

Choose either,

RETURNING INSTRUCTOR FULL TIME EXPERIENCED

RETURNING INSTRUCTOR PART TIME EXPERIENCED

INSTRUTOR SCHEDULE COMMITMENTS

We have made modifications to some of our part time instructor schedules in hopes to make it easier for part time instructors to fulfill their commitment while providing an opportunity to enjoy our mountain with their families and friends.

I have highlighted the changes.

Here are the details

Schedule Options / Pass Benefits

FULL TIME – 5 days/week or 4 days and 1 night/week

Earns Individual season pass for self and dependent*pass/passes. (Children age 6 and under are free)

 

24 SHIFTS MINIMUM – Work 24 weekend & holiday shifts throughout the season.  (season passes for dependent* are included now with this option at $0 cost)

Earns Individual season pass for self and dependent* pass/passes. (Children age 6 and under are free)

 

18 SHIFTS MINIMUM – Work 18 weekend & holiday shifts throughout the season. (you can now purchase dependent* passes for $100 per-pass with this option)

Earns individual season pass for self and have an option to purchase dependent*passes for $100 per-pass

 

*Dependent is defined as a spouse or child 18 years of age or under. Identification, proof of relationship and proof of age (for child) is required. Children age six and under are free.

 

16 SHIFTS – Must work day shifts every Saturday & Sunday Jan 9th – Feb 28th

Earns individual season pass for self.

 

10 DAY SHIFTS **– Must work either a Saturday or Sunday during weekend Programs (Jan 9th – Feb 28th)

Earns individual season pass to purchase for $100 or earns 5 lift tickets

 

10 FRIDAY NIGHT SHIFTS** – Must commit to either; (this is a new option for those who enjoy Friday evenings)

Bonny Slope Program, Jan 9, 16, 23, 26- day, 30, Feb 6 (Remainder shifts must be a Friday or Saturday evening or Sunday evening Jan. 17th or Sunday evening Feb.14th)

 

 

Friday Evening Program, Jan 8, 15, 22, 29, Feb 5, 12, 19, 26 (Remainder shifts must be a Friday or Saturday evening or Sunday evening Jan. 17th or Sunday evening Feb.14t)

 

Friday Evening College Program Feb 5, 12, 19, 26, March 4 (Remainder shifts must be a Friday or Saturday evening or Sunday evening Jan. 17th or Sunday evening Feb.14th)

 

Earns individual season pass to purchase for $100 or earns 5 lift tickets

**Must Have Managers authorization / Minimum Requirements/ Must have PSIA/AASI level 1 or above or at least 1 year of teaching experience with Mt Hood Meadows.

Any employee who quits or is terminated will have their pass (as well as their dependent’s pass) deactivated.

I wanted to let everyone know that Kelly Howle has decided to come back this season as a part time instructor as she will be continuing her current job in Hood River.  Kelly will still be very present as a trainer and will be helping some in the CLC as needed.


This means that  we are currently recruiting for a CLC Supervisor , the position is  posted in the jobs section of the Meadows website, just search current openings at this link https://www.skihood.com/jobs.

 

The CLC Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the CLC daily operations and functions. I have attached the job description to this email and pasted the position overview below. If you know someone that would be a good candidate please let them know about the opportunity and if you are interested yourself please submit an application.

Position Overview 

This position is responsible for the overall success of the Children’s Learning Center and Ski and Ride School including guest service, employee satisfaction and development. The primary role of the CLC Supervisor is to oversee the daily operations of the kid’s daily lessons through building and maintaining relationships with customers while leading and motivating a team of ski and snowboard instructors, leads and indoor staff in developing Meadows client base as well as training the team in cultivating their existing talents. Ultimately this position is responsible for ensuring the Snowsports team demonstrates outstanding customer service every day to every guest by creating a welcoming and safe environment and continuing training to further their teaching knowledge.  Strong time management, attention to detail and customer service skills are required for this position.
