Hi everyone
The extended forecast over the next servals days are finally starting to look more like fall. Just maybe even a little dusting of snow!
Thanks to all of you who have submitted returning instructor applications. We are still missing a few of you. It is never too late but please remember, submitting an online application is required by ALL employees. It is fairly painless and only takes a few minutes to complete. Go to www.skihood.com and follow the links to “current jobs”
ORIENTATION
A change from previous will be the need for every employee of Mt Hood Meadows to attend a companywide orientation. This will be a great opportunity to hear from our top leadership team, be introduced to some new agenda items, as well as a better understanding on current ones.
It is required and mandatory that ALL employees attend the company orientation.
Once again Ski and Snowboard School will be offering two dates to attend.
Wednesday, Nov. 11th in the Vertical, company orientation will begin at 9am with our Ski and Snowboard School orientation immediately following
Sunday, Nov. 15th in the Vertical, company orientation will begin at 8am with our Ski and Snowboard School orientation immediately following.
MTP APPEARANCES REACH 200,000 SUMMER EVENT ATTENDEES
The Meadows to People tour has been very busy. Since May 1, the MTP Tour has attended 27 events with combined attendance of more than 200,000!
The crew has directly engaged with more than 1,200 children. We’ve introduced them to skiing and snowboarding on special apparatus and coaching techniques. As the events wind down, the focus now shifts to school gymnasiums, where our team presents “PE Takeovers”, presented a fun curriculum that builds core strength, balance and stamina, in preparation for a mountain visit. Kudos to Tracy Thomsen and the MTP team for spreading the stoke.
NEW & IMPROVED EMPLOYEE MEAL DISCOUNT PROCESS
The days of needing to trudge down to employee services in order to load money on your season pass are now a thing of the past thanks to the hard work and innovation of our Director of IT Paul Thomson.
New for 2015/16 your employee season pass will activate your 50% employee meal discount at the register in our Quick Serve locations. Instead of a $70 weekly limit on meal money you will now have the ability to discount up to $25 per day in food. This discount is still only intended for employees so please do not use it to buy discounted food for other people.
A few notes on this:
– You will now earn loyalty points on the amount you pay at Quick Serve locations.
– You can use your discount multiple times per day as long as you stay under the maximum of $25 in full price food discounted per day.
o In the example of buying $25 of food, your employee pass will discount it to $12.50 and you would pay that amount at the register either with Cash, Credit or stored value.
o You loyalty points are earned on the amount you pay and not on the full undiscounted price.
SEASON PASS DEADLINE
Spread the word, our season pass deadline is approaching quickly and guests have until November 8th to purchase season passes at a discount. For those that did purchase a pass before Oct. 1st the can refer a friend in the same age category and receive $20 in Passholder Value each if their referred friend purchases before October 31st. Check out the details here: https://www.skihood.com/store/season-passes/passholder-referral-program.
