I will be emailed those instructors who I will be scheduling over the next few days. If you DO NOT receive an email from me regarding teaching will not need to come to work.
Hopefully after Christmas we will be needing everyone to begin showing up on their scheduled days.

We’re pleased to announce that if the weather cooperates we intend to begin our season with limited operations Monday. This is totally conditional on the weather – we are seeing some improving models that may give us more snow than expected Sunday. We will confirm Monday operations Sunday evening (although we may not announce our lift operational schedule until early Monday).

Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort Plans Opening for the Season Monday with Limited Operations
Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort announced it is making every effort to open for the season Monday, with limited lift operations. Due to an improving weather forecast, that now shows Sunday’s rain may be changing to snow earlier than originally forecast, the resort is readying for operations on Monday.
The resort received 16 inches of snow Friday through Saturday, before the moisture-laden storm transitioned to rain. The resort currently has a 22” snow depth in the base area.
Meadows has operated on a very limited basis for several days this early season primarily with the Buttercup lift. Resort officials expect that more than one lift should operate, depending on how soon the weather transitions to snow to allow snowcats to push snow, harvest parking lot snow and build lift ramps. The hope is this storm will deposit more snow depth on the upper mountain, and potentially allow for operation of one or more of the resort’s upper lifts.
Resort officials will verify Sunday evening about a Monday operation, although exactly what lifts will operate may not be known until Monday morning. Uphill hiking is prohibited within the permit area during this timeframe as the resort readies the mountain.
Resort officials credit Saturday’s Pineapple Toss fundraiser for NW Avalanche Forecasting Center for staving off the Pineapple Express initially forecast to bring rain from Saturday through Monday. Apparently the weather system, fearful of being tossed off the mountain, has shifted directions, allowing more snow to accumulate than originally forecast. The event raised $500 for NWAC.
Even with limited operations Monday, Meadows will offer children’s and adult ski and snowboard lessons and Day Care. The equipment rental center will operate and the High Performance Center and Outer Limits Sports will be open for outfitting for the season and some great holiday gift ideas.
Culinary services will have the Schuss Grill, Higher Grounds and Alpenstube Bar operating for breakfast and lunch and Apres Ski.
