Hello MLC Instructors!

What a season it has been! I can’t believe this is the 2nd to last weekend of the 2020-21 season – we only have 4 more days of operations this season! Where did the season go? Seems like it was a marathon and we’re approaching the final leg of the race. In this update, there are a few important details to share with you about finishing up the season.

Uniforms & Lockers

We will be swapping locker locations next season, with the MLC offices and full time locker room moving to the basement of the South Lodge. Since all of our lessons now meet over at Sahale, this is going to be much more convenient for everyone. If you have had “your locker” for all these years and want any customizations you’ve made “go with you” you should take those with you before the end of this season. Please do NOT leave any personal items in your locker over the summer even if you’re planning to come back, as those lockers are going to be assigned to a different department. Also, please check your home/car/etc. for MHM uniform items – last season we lost tens of thousands of doallars in unreturned uniform pieces, and with this season allowing team members to take their uniforms home to reduce the amount of time spent in the lodges, we are really going to need your help in getting these uniform pieces back to the mountain. If you’ve completed your commitment, please return all your uniform items to the laundry. If you’ve left your uniform pieces in your locker, please use the exit interview link below to share this info with us. Thank you so much for getting your uniform items returned!

Exit Interviews

Since it is nearly impossible to meet with you all individually about your season takeaways, how things went, etc. we’d love for you to share your season with us in a quick exit interview. This season for multiple reasons, the company-wide survey only had around 30 MLC team member comments, so if you have some suggestions on what we can do better next season, this is a great way to share that info with the MLC Supervisor and Management Team. If you have fulfilled your schedule commitment and are done teaching for the season, while the season is still fresh in your mind, please complete this exit interview at the link below. Thank you!

Meadows making a showing at Tryouts

Emily Hearle, Nic Ratlif, Peter Gavinski, Justin Olson, Richard Mario and Brian Feucht are all throwing their hat in the ring to become a PSIA-AASI NW Divisional Clinic Leader this weekend at Mission Ridge, WA. The tryouts were going to be held last season, however with the season being cut short, the event was postponed to this weekend. Wish them luck via text/email/snap – whatever. Katie Feucht also went to the PSIA-AASI National Alpine Team tryout in Breckenridge and made it past the initial selection, which is a feet in and of itself – alas, she was not selected to the team, but remains on as a PSIA-NW DCL – way to go Katie!
