The snow is coming!!!!

There has been serval inches of snow over the last couple of days fall onto slopes up at the resort. It time is here to polish up your winter driving skills.

Snow park permits are now required as of November 1st  once again employee services will be selling permits to employees.

It was great to see so many instructors last Wednesday at orientation. I apologize for the temperature of the room. If I would have known I would have let everyone know that there would be not much heat on and to bring extra clothing. Lucky for instructors most of us got our uniforms before the orientation got underway.

If you are planning to attend orientation this Sunday 15th you may want to bring an extra layers with you since uniforms will not take place until the end of the morning.

This is how the morning will lineup,

8am company orientation begins, you must be in your seats no later than 8am.

10:05am MHM Instructor orientation begins

11:30 uniforms and lockers.

There will be a break between the two orientation with a lite continental breakfast provided by ski and snowboard school.

Employee services are reporting that nearly 20 instructors this week have allowed their pro-employment screening to time out. When this happens the screening project must be resubmitted causing more work and time spent by HR. please do your part and follow the directions on the first email you receive containing the title “Pre-Employment Screening”

Background checks must completed and on file before any employee can begin working.

This week’s company update is provided by Jeremy Riss.

Have a great weekend everyone,

Mark

A BIG THANK YOU TO JEFF HARDMAN

This is an excerpt from a comment sent to us through the website.

“Last weekend I was backpacking around Mt Hood on the Timberline Trail. On Sunday I began to get sick with chills and fever.  For the safety of myself and my fellow hiking partners I decided to bail down to Cooper Spur to wait for others to finish.  After much confusion I as to where to go exactly I met your maintenance man Jeff.  Jeff took it upon himself to ensure I knew where to head down lower to be dry and safe.  he made me feel welcome and made sure to let others staffers know what was going on and that I would be there awhile.

You entire staff at the resort was friendly and kind.  they got me a spot by the fire to warm up after being in the weather all day.  they kept my tea glass full with hot water and I had one of the best burgers I have ever eaten on the mountain.”
