Hello Awesome MLC Instructors!
It’s hard to believe it’s the last weekend of April and the first weekend of May! Where did the season go? The weather today is snowy and awesome. The weather tomorrow does not look as favorable but this time of year when it says 38 degrees and precipitation it’s usually snow due to the cold air mass and that Mt. Hood Meadows is a little further around the mountain on the east side, so we get some insulating affect from the dessert. Come Sunday if you can to both teach and/or ski and snowboard! We could use some help in the mornings if you still are needing to complete your teaching hours or make up any shifts you missed.
Plus, it’s just going to be awesome to take in the last few days of the 2021-22 season! There is a lot going on for the last 4 days of the season!
reVegetate event – this weekend! Kona Pond Skim Next Weekend
The base area looks different and the teaching terrain at Ballroom will be limited to the skier’s left side. Due to the weather on Saturday, the focus of the event will be Sunday – however if the weather is better than the forecast is calling for, then plan on it being busy both days! See the Meadows website for revegetate event here: https://www.skihood.com/en/schedule-events/april1/revegetate
Next weekend on Saturday, the final day of the season, is the Kona Pond Skim! Come for the last party weekend and the pond skim show!
Need Help THIS Sunday and Next Friday & Saturday!
Sunday May 1 is going to be a “blue bird” day. We already have many guests hoping to take lessons with you as they redeem their last lessons of the Spring pass package and any make up lessons they still need to do. If you can join un on Sunday please reply all to this email and we’ll add you to the schedule.
No personal items left in CLC or Program Room
Some instructors have been using the Program Room and the CLC as an extension to your locker (or home closet). Now is the time to clean out any personal items from both of these locations. Any personal items left in these areas after Saturday May 7 will be donated. Please help us tidy up for the season by taking our personal items out of these locations. Thank you!
Lockers & Uniforms – Take Your Equipment Home
On your last day of work for the season please return your uniform items. If laundry is not open you may bag up your uniform and drop it outside laundry in the appropriate location. On your last day at the mountain for the season, please take your personal items out of your locker. As much as we want to be able to let you leave your ski and snowboard equipment in your locker over the summer it’s just not a good idea. We CANNOT be responsible for your personal equipment left over the summer. In fact, last summer I was personally needing move and relocate items left in lockers because facilities needed to remove some lockers and sure enough, someone from our team left equipment in a locker. Just take it home for the summer – you can leave in your locker all next season – when you come back to enrich lives. Thanks for taking your personal things home!
Thanks and hope to see you this weekend!
