Uniforms for Returning Instructors
8:15am – 9:45am (90 min) – Uniforms for Returning Instructors only – Laundry
Your locker assignment may have changed from last season. If you re-applied on-line, you should have received an email from Jillianne. If you are a returning instructor and have not yet submitted your returning instructor application please do so ASAP below.

Experienced Instructors New to Mt. Hood Meadows AND Non-Experienced Full Timers
8:30am – 9:45am (75 min) – Experienced instructors new to Mt. Hood Meadows and New Non-experienced full time instructors – Please meet in the Lesson Sales Lobby on the ground floor of the South Lodge, down the ramp from the “four way” – don’t know where this is? Just ask someone – they’re here to help!
Everybody – ALL INSTRUCTORS MUST BE SEATED IN VERTICAL BY 9:55am
10am to 11:15am (75 min)- Company Orientation – Vertical
11:20am to 11:40am (20 min) – Sustainability Training – Vertical
11:45am to 12:15pm (30 min) – Workplace Safety Training- Vertical
12:15pm to 1pm (45 min – not paid) – Lunch in SnoBlasters and Brown Bag Area
1pm to 1:30pm (30 minutes) – Department Welcome – Vertical
1:45pm Module rotation: 3 modules; 30 minutes each going until 3:45pm
3:45pm to 4:15pm (30 min) – Chill Foundation Info (Snowboard Coaches) – Vertical North
4:00 to 5:30pm Learning Center Social (optional) – Vertical North
Can’t Make to In-person Orientation?
We will have a video option for those who cannot make the Company and Department Orientations. This will be posted to the Instructor Portal with details to follow. It does take a while to prepare the video for viewing on-line and we will share the details on how to access this once it is available. You must watch or attend a company Orientation before you may obtain your employee pass.
Schedule Submissions – Next Week
Mid-next week we will have the Schedule Submission Form ready to take your schedule submissions. I will be sending out an email to all instructors next week with details on how to submit your schedule.
When will the mountain open?
Are first scheduled day of operation is set for 11/23, however that is pending enough snow to open. We are hopeful but Mother Nature must deliver. We are prepared to harvest and haul snow to build ramps and get the slopes ready, even if we are a little shy on snow. Please keep an eye on the forecast, which says we can start to see some moisture in the form of snow as early as Tuesday night. Bring it on – we’re ready!
Returning Instructor Paid Training Clinics
We plan to start the returning instructor mandatory 2-hour clinic on Dec. 6. There is only one clinic that is “mandatory” however you are required to complete a total of 6 documented hours of training. You may count your voluntary clinic attendance – like certification training – as required hours. All Paid clinics will have “(paid)” in their title, so you know which ones you will get paid for attending. You must be logged in to sign up for clinics.
