The mountain has already had its share of snow this season and the new Buttercup Lift is being built as you read this. We are gearing up for the winter and it has shown up. Are you ready?!? Because we are! Although, one or two more days of crisp blue bird sky days would not have been missed. Check out the early season information below.
RETURNING THIS SEASON?
If haven’t already reapplied, the Returning Instructor Requisition is up and ready to go.
To Re-apply as a returning instructor:
· Go to https://chj.tbe.taleo.net/chj06/ats/careers/v2/searchResults?org=MEADOWS&cws=40
· Go to the upper right hand portion of your screen and select LOGIN
o You will not need to register, because you already have a profile from last year.
· Enter your Email and Password
o If you have forgotten your password, select ‘forgotten password’ and they will send you a link to create an new one
· Once logged in, you can search for job openings.
· Find the Instructor – Returning FT or Instructor – Returning PT and select APPLY or select the links below.

· Since you have worked at Meadows last year, all your information should be saved in your Taleo Profile.
o Please double check your contact information to make sure it is still correct.
Closer to the beginning of the season, Human Resources will be sending out an email with any information you will need to update for this upcoming season. This will also include another background check from Talentwise if yours has expired. Please make sure to fill them out and get them back as those are time sensitive.
HIRING THIS SEASON
We are always looking for new instructors but we also have some other fun positions that are available this season, so if you or someone you know would like to work at the mountain, but aren’t sure if teaching is what they want to do, then check out these positions that we are currently hiring for. CLC Leads – The Children’s Learning Center is looking for a motivated, self-starting individual for a lead position. Please have excellent guest service skills and enjoy interacting with a plethora of guests and children.
CLC and Program Support Staff – The CLC is also looking to fill a few support staff positions. This is a part time position that typically works well for students and can serve as an introduction to mountain life and instructing. Spread the word and have them apply online.
Funzone Lift Attendant – Ski and Snowboard School will also be hiring three Funzone Lift attendants this season and are looking for, kid-loving, fun and outgoing individuals that can work outside in all weather. They must be at least 18 years old for this position.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Ski and Snowboard School Orientation –
Save the Dates for either November 15th or November 18th. We will be having the Ski and Ride School Orientation on both days, you will only need to attend one. Tyler has some new ideas on how to make our already captivating department orientation even better, so you don’t want to miss out. On November 18th, don’t forget to stay for the Pray for Snow Party that will be held later that evening. There’s no better way to Snow Dance into the new season!
If you would like to help, we are looking for hands to help us with uniforms, lockers, set up and tear down. Please email Josey Rice at josey.rice@skihood.com and let her know what day you are coming up, the 15th or the 18th and she will let you know where the greatest need is.
Orientation Timeline:
8:00 am – 9:45 am: Human Resources will be open for staff to get their uniforms and check I-9 credentials, you are welcome to come up and do that on your own time before orientation starts.
10:00 am – 11:00 am: Company Orientation
11:00 am – 12:30 pm: Break. Some food will be provided and there will be some time for you to get your uniform if you didn’t earlier
12:30 pm – 3:00 pm: Ski and Snowboard School Orientation
We will be sending out more information about the schedules and rehire on snow training dates once they are available. Stay tuned for those updates we will be sending out via email.
