Subject: Opening Postponed until we get more snow

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to operate lifts this holiday weekend. There just isn’t enough snow to harvest to get our lower lifts turning – and the forecast isn’t favorable for the remainder of the weekend.

We are hopeful that the snow forecast early next week will put us in a position to open next weekend – the earliest would most likely be Friday, December 1, but that is speculative at this time.

We will keep you updated as the snow falls and our harvesting efforts prepare us for our eminent opening.

Meanwhile:

  • Altitude is open this holiday weekend – it’s a great place to direct guests to fulfill or purchase their passes, and take advantage of the Little Boxes and Black Friday promotions!
  • Cooper Spur is a great place to send folks for a fun getaway and the Crooked Tree is serving lunch and dinner.
  • Our communications team is answering phones, email and chat requests here at the mountain throughout the weekend (daytime hours)
  • Concierge is staffed this weekend for those that make the trip up to get their passes fulfilled

While this delay to getting the season started is disappointing, please use this time to refresh yourselves and prepare for a big season. This delay means more pent up demand, so when we open our guests will be here raring to go and ready to be enriched!

Enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday.
