We tried something new last season!

What we thought would be a “for sure” way to insure having enough instructors to teach our evening and weekend programs, we still fell short and did not have enough staff to meet our guests’ expectations.

With the growth we experienced last season, and the growth of season pass sales, our projection is we will be busier this season than last, making us unable to offer this schedule openly as we did last season.

We understand there are a number of instructors that a “limited schedule” such as a 10 shift schedule is the only way to stay connected with teaching snowsports and Mt Hood Meadows. This schedule is for the instructor who is only available to be on the mountain on a very limiting basis, only to attend mandatory trainings, meetings, and to teach their 10 shifts.

Schedule Submission;

We are currently testing the scheduling program. Our hopes are this will be ready for use as soon as tomorrow afternoon.

Keep an eye out for “Instructor Updates” emails or check on the snow pro-portal for the GREEN light.

Kids First Time & Novice Lessons

Instructors will earn an extra $.50/hour on their teaching wage when teaching First Time or Novice kid’s group lessons through the CLC or Kids Camps

Teaching the first ski or snowboard lesson to a child could be the most important lesson you may teach. Introducing this sport is a great privileged and we want to reward instructors who do this day after day.

Note: to insure instructors receive the commission of $.50/hour it will be crucial to fill out your re-caps completely and accurately with

·       Payroll Code

·       Start Time

·       End Time

·       Total Time

·       Number of Students

·       Ability Level

Be sure to check the weather forecast for the rest of the week and throughout the weekend. Snow is on the way!
