We are open today with Mt. Hood Express, Satdium Express and Shooting Star Express as well as the South Side lifts. Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day with Hood River Meadows being added to the lift matrix. This means people will be able to park at Hood River Meadows which should relieve some of the strain on the main lot. The main lot was full today at 9:13AM. Availability Submissions – Part-time & Full-time
Essentially there are about 25 days during the season when we need all the help we can get. If you are a part-time instructor please focus on these dates: the holiday break days where we have 3-day camps, Saturdays and Sundays in January and February, the holiday Mondays (MLK Jr, President’s Day), Wednesdays (if you are available), Friday Night programs in Jan/Feb and Oregon Spring Break Camp. If some days are not available please choose all the days you can pick, then add into the comments at the end what days you’d like to add to get to your commitment.

Nordic Center is Open & Snowshoe Tours are Scheduled
The Nordic Center opened today and will be open all weekend! Nordic instructors, please get your schedules into David Mackintosh ASAP. Big Training Weekend
We have new instructor training and re-hire clinics happening both days this weekend. Please leave early so you arrive in time for your training. All training will meet on-snow, in the “training corral” which is off the South Lodge deck where the SnoBlaster corral is normally located. If you don’t know where that is, we’ll have people directing you. The expectation is that all training happening this weekend is to stay on the groomed runs. This is for your safety and well-being. You’ll have plenty of time to ski and ride untouched powder later in the season – not this weekend in paid training. Early Season Conditions Exist
While the snow is plenty, the terrain “is early season” and your body is “early season” too – so please take it easy. There are lots of unmarked obstacles and unusual terrain features that are not normally on the runs mid-season. Ski and ride with caution and plan for the runs to be busy with people not heading this warning. Take extra care walking in the parking lot too as this is a very common area for team members to fall and get injured. Walk cautiously or better yet, wear your shoe chains.

Basic business cards are free, so please order them ASAP. The first batch of 77 cards has been ordered. The next batch will be ordered at the end of next week, so get your orders in. I hope the first batch of cards will be in next week.
