I’m starting to get anxious to get going this season as I know you are too. Hopefully we’ll be sliding on snow soon and that there is something in this instructor update for you! I know many of you have reached out to me individually about availability submissions … and well … here we go!

Part Time / Full Time Availability Submissions
It has been quite challenging to get the Part Time availability submission form ready. As I have shared with some of you individually it’s a bit like looking into a crystal ball, using intuition and adjusting due to the constantly changing requirements of operating a weather dependent resort during a global pandemic.
In order to submit your schedule you will need to be logged into the MHM Instructor Portal. I don’t know your password. You can reset your password if you don’t know it here: https://mhm.snowproportal.com/password-reset
If you don’t have an Instructor Portal account because you are new this season and did not receive one yet – please email skischoolsupervisors@skihood.com and we’ll get on set up for you.
We want to be as accommodating as possible with your teaching days while meeting our expected business levels and lesson demand. If for some reason, a certain day is not available to choose, and there is no way around this option – like let’s say you carpool with someone and both of you want to work on the same day, but a certain day/shift is not available for one of you … we’ll make an exception. Please include a note in the comment box at the end of the availability submission form and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

Lesson Calendar on Portal for Reference
We have created a season long calendar for you to review with the various program lessons, clinics, camps, special groups like the Chill Foundation, Northwest Association of Blind Athletes, Washington State School for the Blind, Holidays, Camps, etc. You might find this helpful is choosing the days you’d like to teach this season! When are we going to open?
The weather forecast is starting to make a turn for the snowier – now it’s just a matter of time when Mother Nature delivers enough snow that we can open. This weekend (12/11 and 12/12) are not looking favorable at the moment based on forecasted snow fall, however we will open just as soon as we can. Rehire Clinics – more have been added
As you saw we had to cancel some of the Rehire Clinics due to not being open. There are some more added to the Clinic Calendar, as well as the glitch where signups were closed. Be sure to check them out and sign up to attend one of these mandatory clinics. We will be adding more Rehire Clinics to the calendar in a few more days, so if you don’t see one that works for your schedule, check back in a few days as we are adjusting accordingly due to weather, opening day, etc. Go here: https://mhm.snowproportal.com/calendar
Dayforce Hiring and On-boarding
Most all returning and experienced instructors new to meadows have been “fully hired” and on-boarding emails have been sent to you via the Dayforce app. Please be sure to check your email and complete your on-boarding steps in a web browser (not the Dayforce app).
Once again, those of you who are having issues doing this in the app – well, you CAN’T complete these important steps in the app – you must login to the Dayforce website (ideally on a tablet or computer – does not work well on a phone) at this URL: https://www.dayforcehcm.com/mydayforce/login.aspx
Most people who attempt to complete these steps on a phone via its web browser are having trouble, so if you can complete these steps on a tablet, laptop or desktop computer that would be best. If you don’t have these available, you can come to the mountain and complete these tasks on one of our desktop computers.
As a reminder when logging into Dayforce (which is different than the Instructor Portal) … the Company is: Meadows. Your username is: Firstname(dot)Lastname – like suzy.skisalot and the password is whatever you setup. We do NOT know your password. You can attempt to reset it using the link on the login page that says, “Can’t access your account?” Try that first. If you cannot login, we can reset your password for you, but you’ll need to send an email to Josey.Rice@skihood.com, Kelcey.Hadden-Leggett@skihood.com, or me. Also, it seems that some are getting stuck on creating a recovery email. You can safely skip this for now if you are having troubles setting this up.
Locker Assignments + Uniforms
We have already sent your NEW locker location and combination via Dayforce a while back. What do you mean, “New locker and combo? I’ve had the same locker since ____________.” Well, maybe you haven’t heard (or been keeping up), but we have moved all MLC lockers and admin offices to the basement of the South Lodge. This is awesome! Plus we added another 90+ lockers to the overall resort inventory, so we expect no one from the MLC will need to share lockers! Whoop, whoop! But for those of you who moved into your old locker already – um, that’s not your locker! Please do NOT plan to use the locker you had last season as it’s NOT yours!

MLC Town Hall – Recording from 11/18/2021
If you missed the Town Hall last month, we had around 60+ people in attendance. We covered our opening day projections, what’s new for the season, our updated COVID-19 operating plans, vaccination mandate or weekly testing information as well as welcoming new instructors who are coming to training in the next few days and weeks.
