Snowshoeing is a great low cost, low impact activity to enjoy the more tranquil side of your mountain home.
There is no cost to snowshoe on the marked trails at Mt. Hood Meadows, but employees do enjoy $5 weekday $10 weekend rentals as well as free Mt. Hood Meadows snowshoe tours (excluding food).
Maintained by our Nordic Department, Mt. Hood Meadows offers 6.5-8 miles of well-marked, snowshoe-packed trails.
Most trails are single-file and may not be freshly packed after a big snowstorm, so it’s important to practice backcountry safety and always carry a map. Keep an eye out for green discs on bamboo poles or green flagging tape to stay on route as you explore our Mt. Hood snowshoe trails.
