Hello MLC Instructors!

This weekend is going to be busy. The weather is looking snowy this weekend with moderate winds. Based on my years of service I’d say the upper mountain (Vista and Cascade) are unlikely, but one never knows with Mother Nature on Mt. Hood. This Sunday is the start of a new 4-week SnoBlaster Session with 200+ kids signed up with 30+ Freeride Kids – so the SnoBlaster Room is going to be busy. The main parking lot is going to fill early and the roads are going to be slow going – so leave early, carpool, take the employee bus and get into the main lot before 7:45am otherwise you might be parking at Sunrise, HRM, Twilight or worse …there’s more – please read on …

Need More Help – President’s Day – Monday 2/17

Schools Out! People want to come learn to ski and snowboard! And we have had a few instructors get hurt recently, a few schedule change requests and people getting sick, so we are looking a little short-staffed on Monday. If the weather cooperates and we have partly sunny skies on Monday it’s going to be busy. If you can add Monday to your schedule please “reply all” to this email and we’ll add you to the roster. If you are not normally scheduled on Monday, you’ll receive a Work a Day Voucher for a free lift ticket to share with a friend or family member. Join us on Monday!

Get Well Cards – in the Instructor Lounge

Please sign a get well card for those that are on the road to recovery. Geoffrey, Paula and Carter all have boo-boos, so please share a few words of encouragement and we’ll send these off to them with our collective good vibes towards a speedy recovery. Plus we miss them – already!

Teaching Hour Report – Fixed!

Thanks to everyone who shared that the teaching hour report was not working. Alas, it has been corrected. You can get the details on how to run this report – on your DESKTOP computer (not the APP) here: https://mhm.snowproportal.com/training/day-force-help/teaching-hour-report

Instructor Check In Survey – Reminder

We’ve had 16 people use the Instructor Check In survey – it’s been great to hear what’s going well and what we can do to make things better. Like the company check in survey, as the leadership team of the Meadows Learning Center we’d like to know how you’re doing. Please share with us what’s going well, where you might need some help and what we can do to make your instructor life better. Click the link or survey emoji below. Calling in Sick? Need a Schedule Change Made? Want to Add a Shift? Use the Portal!

There is still some confusion on how to call in sick and how to submit a schedule change request. You do this on the MHM Instructor Portal. When you submit these forms on the Portal as many people that can address these requests and notifications receive it. Posting a message in Dayforce or sending an email for these types of request risk us not being able to respond in a timely manner. It’s helpful to bookmark these to your phone’s desktop. Here are the links …

Looking forward to an awesome weekend! See you soon!
