Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.
Mother nature gave us a little boost the first of the week with a several inches of new snow, just in time for the spring break camp. The fresh snow was us favorable conditions and as a result we saw strong business in the Children’s Learning Center and with group lessons.
With snow conditions changing daily it is a good idea to know what’s out there before you bring your class to an area you wish you hadn’t. Take a free run before lineup or ask other instructors who may have for a condition report.

Ski School Member Clinic and Year End Party.
Sunday April 19 will be our ski school member clinic. If you are in need of educational credit this is a great opportunity to get those. More information on cost to follow. The same day we will also be having our year end party. The festivities will begin at 4 pm. We are working on the location of what part of the lodge we will be getting together so please keep an eye for information. If by chance the resort is not open the party will be rescheduled and the location will be closer to the Portland area with a possible park setting.

Check Your Schedule
As spring comes we all get busy with spring things. There has been an increase number of instructors not showing up for their scheduled shifts. Please check your scheduled commitment, if you have a conflict with one or any of your scheduled shifts please contact me so that I can make the proper arrangements to secure the needed staff to accommodate our guest. Your schedule is available to view online by visiting mhm.snowproportal.com follow the link to “view” your schedule.
Hood River 5th Grade Ski and Ride Visit
We will have the great opportunity once again to invite the 5th grade classes from Hood River County School District to come for a day of lessons and fun. The dates for this event are Wednesday, April 1st and 2nd We are estimating 90 kids on each day. The rosters from the schools have not been received yet so I do not know how many snowboard instructors and ski instructors are needed. If you are available for either of these dates your help will be greatly appreciated.
Equipment Packages for Guests Available in Rentals
By Michael Birch-Jones
I wanted to bring you up to speed on an offering that we have as part of our continuing conversion program to encourage beginning and novice skiers and riders to become life-long enthusiasts. Through our partnership with Burton and Rossignol we have an entry level package on display at the rental shop from now till the end of the season. It is a $399 price point for new boots, bindings and skis or a snowboard. (See the attached flyer.)The program is discounted to encourage folks to commit to the sport and is open to all who are interested. It is available to all who are interested. To kick it off this coming weekend, March 28th and 29th we have invited our graduates of the one time or three time learn to ski or ride packages from this season to come back up by extending them a $10 voucher that they can purchase for a day that gets them a lift, lesson and rental set up. They can also apply the $10 to the purchase of the retail package. If you get any questions please direct these folks to the rental shop. We will take a deposit of $100 down to order the gear and deliver the gear early October with the balance of $299 due at that time.
Please pass on this great deal to any folks you know that are thinking about committing to the sport of skiing or snowboarding and send them to the rental shop to see the gear. Better yet, stop by so you can see what’s up!

THANKS!
Thank you Brian for making us Best in the West.
I hope to see you all on the hill a few more times this season.
