Hello MLC Instructors!
Yes, opening day is Monday 11/30. Whoop, whoop! Here we go!
We have heard from many of you that you plan to come up. We are looking forward to seeing you on opening day if you plan to come. It will be the deepest base on opening day that I can recall since 1993, when I started at Mt. Hood Meadows. Due to the fact that we have delayed opening, this has allowed us to harvest snow and open with a solid base and more terrain (and lifts) than typical for opening day! That’s something to be thankful for!
Just so you know, we will not be offering day ticket sales or the purchase of daily lessons for the first few days of operation. We will allow those who are redeeming an unused voucher from last season for lessons or lift access. This includes any “work a day” vouchers you have from last season. Given this, we expect the mountain to be quite busy with people skiing and riding but lesson volume, by design, will be low so we can ensure our Covid protocols are effective and adjust as we need. It’s a conservative approach at first, then scale up as we feel we can do so safely.
This is a long email that took a great deal of time to compose and ensure the information is accurate any many questions you have hopefully will be answered below. So, please take a few moments to read this message in detail, then if you have unanswered questions (and I know you will), then please “reply all” to this email, so we can respond. This email was sent to all “active” team members, so there may be some who did not receive this email because they have no re-applied yet. You may share this email with anyone who you feel should have received this email, but did not.
Passes, Lockers, Uniforms … oh my!
Passes
Your season’s pass will most likely not be active on opening day. Don’t worry, you will be able to ski and snowboard but we’ll need to issue you a pre-employment day pass. We are processing your “digital paperwork” as fast as we can. Watching the company orientation video and the Covid Protocals video are part of the onboarding steps. If you did not complete these steps, then we cannot process your seasons pass form.
Once we process your onboarding steps, you will pick you pass up from your manager
