Details about how to sign up for Team Teaching will be covered on your last day of on-snow training.

What is Team Teaching?

Team Teaching is a great way to get real world experience in a lesson as a new instructor with the assistance and support of an experienced instructor by your side.

In your New Hire Training, the ideal First Time Experience with common situations and logical next-steps is portrayed but how often times the real world so cut and dry. This is your opportunity to try your newfound skills, find a hiccup in your progression or learn what to do in a particular situation. A trainer or teammate is there for guidance and support. You’re in charge, but know you have someone there for help if you need it.
Trainer or Teammates (experienced instructors) will be your assistant as needed.

The Team Teaching Format

Team Teaching – 2 Types

Adult Team Teach Lesson:

  • Check in with the Adult Daily Lesson Supervisor to confirm you’re on the list to Team Teach
  • Meeting time is 8:45am at the Adult Lesson Meeting Area outside the Sahale Lodge

Children’s Team Teach Lessons:

  • Check in with the Children’s Daily Lesson Supervisor
  • Meeting time is 8:45am inside the CLC inside the Sahale Lodge

Once you complete both your team teaching lessons, you’ll be able to teach lessons on your own!

Complete a Team Teach Summary

Lesson Summary for each Team Teach

After the end of your Team Teach please complete a Team Teach Summary Form. This is a reflection of your experience and will help anchor your knowledge and new skills. It is also record of your completion of this step.

Team Teach Helper Option

If you don’t feel quite ready to be the lead on your Team Teach lesson, that’s okay! We want you to feel confident and prepared in your job. If you are at all hesitant, ask to be a lesson “helper”, then do a Team Teach as described above.
