The holidays are here, the weather has changed, it must be time for instructor training at the resort!

Mt. Hood Meadows excels in instructor training. We bring you THE BEST snowsports education in the Northwest. Our trainers are highly certified through PSIA-AASI, and many are current staff members for the NW Division. This means the highest level of training for you to become a successful instructor this season.

Everyone is required to undergo four days of training, broken into two sessions:
  • Session 1 is indoors training. Trainers cover the basics of all things instructing while on carpet and with minimal distractions of other guests and variable weather conditions. This is your opportunity to get into the theory and context of what it means to be an instructor.
  • Session 2 is outdoors training. This is where we take what was learned indoors and make magic happen on snow! We put the First Time Experience Goals into practice with real demos, real slopes, and real snow.

What You Need To Know & Have

Successful instructors show up on time, prepared and engaged. See below to start off your teaching season right. As always while driving through mountain passes during winter, leave early, prepare for the worst, and get here safely.
