Level 1 Snowboard Part 3: Riding
Level 1 clinics may be completed in any order!
-
- Material to Reference:
- Activity Chart
- Technical Fundamentals
- L1 Certification Guide
- Key Concepts to Review (Blend these into activities, not meant to be read to instructors):
- Understanding how to read and apply the activity chart.
- Meaning of integrated, highlighted, and versatility activities and how they will be used throughout the exam (explained thoroughly in the cert guide). Review that candidates will not be assessed on exactly how they perform each riding activity, but instead how they blend, highlight, and show versatility in their riding. The riding activities are used as tools for the candidate to demonstrate these skills.
- Not every riding activity will be used, but candidates should be prepared for any of them.
- Review primary fundamentals for each riding activity.
- Candidates may also be assessed on any riding activities in the beginner progression. Their riding will be assessed during the teaching portions of the exam as well.
