An instructors role is to help students improve their enjoyment on the slopes. One way to do this is it observe their skiing and determine the best way to enhance their skiing performance. Movement analysis is your method of determining what your lesson focus will be with your students.
Movement analysis consists of:
- observations of ski performance – what do you see & what do you want to see in ski performance?
- evaluation = cause and effect, how is the body moving to create the observed and ideal ski performance?
- prescription = what body performance change is needed to achieved the desired ski performance?
