Level 1 Teaching Part 1
This is one of six Level 1 clinics offered through Mt Hood Meadows Learning Center.
- Full-Time Instructors are REQUIRED to attend all 6 clinics.
- Part-Time Instructors are RECOMMENDED to attend all 6 clinics.
Level 1 clinics may be completed and repeated in any order.

- Level 1 Ski: Individual Assessment Activities
- Level 1 Ski: Integrated & Versatility Activities
- Level 1 Teach Part 1: Teaching Demo
- Level 1 Teach Part 2: Teaching Practice
- Level 1 Movement Analysis & Technical Knowledge
During this clinic we will introduce the process and expectation of the Teaching Module of the Level 1 on-snow exam.
- The Skills Concept
- The Alpine Skiing Fundamentals
- Observe a Level 1 Teaching Segment
- Practice leading a Level 1 Teaching Segment
Download the PSIA-NW Alpine Certification Guide and familiarize yourself with the Level 1 Process, the Beginner Zone Skiing Assessment Activities and the Skills and Fundamentals activities you will be demonstrating during the on-snow exam.
