Allergies and Special Needs
Allergies and Special needs are important for instructors to be aware of when students are in our care. Some things like a child being a vegetarian or hard of hearing are simple accommodations on lunch and teaching options, but there are some needs that could be potentially life threatening for a child. Like a peanut allergy, diabetes or seizures. It is important for instructor to make note of any allergies or special needs on their class cards and follow up with a supervisor or lead if they have any questions. A parent may also want to speak to the instructor if there are specific protocols.
In the CLC, we use three different ways to communicate a special need or allergy to the instructor.
1. Allergy will be written on the name tag

2. Child will be wearing a Red Wristband

3. Allergy added next to students name on Roster
