Description
Brush off the fall fatigue and get ready to TEACH!
Whether you’re a returning Nordic instructor, a new hire, or crossing over from Alpine/Snowboard to Nordic, this clinic is your chance to shake off the rust, sharpen your skills, and get ready for the upcoming season.
This is a mandatory, paid, full-day training on snow for all Nordic instructors. We’ll spend the day building personal skiing skills, developing teaching strategies, and getting everyone feeling confident and prepared for the season ahead.
There are two sessions offered, and you should attend only ONE. If you cannot make either session, please reach out to Nordic@skihood.com so we can make other arrangements.
We’ll cover skating fundamentals in the morning and beyond-beginner classic strategies in the afternoon, with team photos, safety reminders, and a waxing/rental walkthrough scattered throughout the day. A more detailed agenda will be shared closer to the clinic date.
Clinic Details
Training begins promptly at 8:30 AM and will wrap up around 4:00 PM. We’ll meet at the Nordic Center, conditions permitting. If weather or snow conditions require a change of plans, updates will be sent via email closer to the clinic date.
This is paid training, so wear your instructor greens and name tag. Bring your own lunch. Nordic rentals are available, but if you have your own gear, we encourage you to bring it!
Pre-Clinic Questionnaire
We will be sending out a pre-clinic questionnaire. We’ll use your responses to organize on-snow groups based on skiing ability and teaching experience so we can make the most of our time together and tailor the training to the needs of the team.
Let’s get our skis under us, get our teaching brains warmed up, and make this a great season for Nordic!
