For the many of you who know Rick Lyons we got some unfortunate news last week that after battling health problems his wife Linda passed away. There will be a celebration of her life, with her favorite bonfire, tomorrow Saturday 2/28 at 4PM at their home. If you will be attending, please bring along something potluck style.

SCHEDULING NEEDS
We finally got some new snow and are expecting to be very busy over the weekend. If anyone is available to help out Saturday, Sunday or both we would love to have the help. Please send me an email and let me know. If you are picking up a day in addition to your commitment you will earn a lift ticket for a friend that you can use another day this season.
CLASS MANAGEMENT
With the lower than normal snow cover the runs are narrower than they normally are. Please keep this in mind when managing your classes on the hill especially making sure the stopping locations we pick are safe for our class and ourselves and are not blocking downhill traffic.

FYI – Children Specialist 1, Senior Specialist 1 & Senior Specialist 2 are being offered at Mt Hood Meadows. They are two day events. This year they are on April 25 – 26, 2015. These are great programs. They will make you better instructors and are fun clinics. Mt, Hood Meadows encourages all of its instructors to participate in these clinics. INSTRUCTOR COMPLIMENTS
1. Hello, I just wanted to drop a note to let you know how awesome we thought our son’s ski instructor was yesterday. He was with Sarah Jones for a full day lesson and by the end of the day things that we’ve been working on him with for a good year seemed to have finally clicked. Just wanted to say thank you and let her know how impressed we were!
2. Greg, Thank you so much for the great clinic. Te biggest thing hat I noticed in my skiing after the lesson was that my chatter was greatly reduced due to better skiing. I hope to get to full railroad tracks with more practice at the warmup stage of my days on the mountain. On a side note I thought that we were stopping and talking a lot but as it turns out we were moving right along as i did get 26k vert. for the day and only 8k was outside of the class. I must have been so intent on learning that time seemed to slowed down for me. Thank you again for the great day on the mountain i am sure that going forward i will see more improvement with intent-full skiing. The price was a great bargain for what i received in return. I look forward to seeing the videos so I can improve even more.
