Learning Center Orientation for Returning and New Full Time Instructors – Midweek & Weekend Options

If you are a returning instructor, an experienced instructor new to Mt. Hood Meadows OR a new, non-experienced Full Time instructor, then this orientation is for you!

New, part time, non-experienced instructors will attend department orientations in December – dates TBA after you have completed the on-snow training dates.

8:00 am – 9:45 am
RETURNING INSTRUCTORS
Employee Services will be open for staff to get their uniforms and check I-9 credentials (if necessary) you are welcome to come up and do that on your own time before orientation starts.

NEW TO MT. HOOD MEADOWS INSTRUCTORS:
Meet in the Children’s Learning Center, at the back of the sales lobby, ground level of the South Lodge, down the ramp from the 4-way intersection.

Company and Learning Center Orientation Agenda for all attendees is as follows:

9:45am – Start making your way to Vertical

9:55am – Check in and take your seat – Vertical

10:00am – Company Orientation (10am to 11:10am – 70 minutes) – Vertical

11:20am – Workplace Safety Training (11:20am to 11:50am – 30 minutes) – Vertical

11:55am – Sustainability Training (11:55am to 12:15pm – 20 minutes) – Vertical

12:15pm – Lunch Break (45 minutes for lunch) – SnoBlaster Room

1:00pm – Meadows Learning Center Welcome Back (30 minutes) – Vertical

1:30pm – Break – Head to first Module Location (10 minutes)

1:40pm – Module Rotation 1 (40 minutes) – Vertical North

2:20pm – Break – Switch locations – (10 minutes)

2:30pm – Module Rotation 2 (40 minutes) – SnoBlaster Room

3:10pm – Break – Switch locations – (10 minutes)

3:20pm – Module Rotation 3 (40 minutes) – Children’s Learning Center

4:00pm – Chill Foundation presentation (30 minutes)  in Vertical North. This presentation is for Snowboard Instructors who want to work with these underprivileged youth on Wednesday and Thursday nights – Learn more about the Chill Foundation – https://www.chill.org/

4:00pm – Department Social and Post module follow ups, and Q&A with no-host beer/wine and snacks (90 minutes) – Vertical

Please note: If you are an experienced part-time instructor OR a full-time instructor new to Mt. Hood Meadows (experienced or not experienced) you may attend this orientation with our returning instructors. Part Time non-experienced instructors will attend a later session.
