There is sunscreen available in the CLC, Program Room and out in front of the North and South Lodge. We provide sunscreen free of charge because we want to help prevent skin cancer. Please apply sunscreen to yourselves and your students 2 to 3 times per day.

Buttercup Fun Zone!

The Buttercup Fun Zone was built on Sunday night, and it is perfect. Be sure to take your students into this terrain up on Buttercup. It’s near the bottom of Vista and has 3 rollers and 3 banked turns that are specifically designed for beginners. This is the easiest way down Buttercup, and everyone loves it! Be sure to try it out.

About Collin White: Thank you for improvising an awesome session, Collin! Lago and I had a great time.

About Anne Bernard: Anne B was fantastic and everyone throughout the process was amazing. My 4 year old was a bit nervous about new people and everyone made her feel so comfortable.

About Mike “Nacho” Scogna: Mike was a great instructor. Super friendly and easy to spend a couple hours with. He was very patient and clear in his teaching method. Took me to new terrain (trees, etc) which I wanted, but was never pushy as far as having me try things that were way out of ability and comfort zone. All in all a great instructor and next time I sign up for a lesson will 100% look to see if he’s available. Thanks, Nacho!

About Cailen Collet: Really rad, respectful dude that was clear with instructions and very courteous. Give that man’s a raise!!!!

About Val (and David): First adaptive sit-ski lesson. Val is an amazing joyful instructor full of positive reinforcement. He started me very slowly, made sure I was warm enough on a snowy cold day, and progressed me to faster slopes when he read my level of comfort and realized I needed more speed to learn turns. I can’t believe how much I “skied” for the first time in my life! I went on a chair lift and some blue runs by the end of the lesson . He took me through the motions piloting the ski so I could feel how the turns should feel. It was an amazing experience and I never felt afraid or unsafe. I was hooked!

See you this weekend!

Tyler
