Hello all,

We want to thank everyone that worked over this Holiday Break and made it such a success.  We had 1,616 CLC guests, 1,798 Adult guests, and 542 Private Lessons over the Holiday Break, making a total of 3,956 total guests taught in lessons.  In the CLC, that is more kids over two weeks than we had for the whole month of December last year (1,519).  This is an amazing feat and an absolute team effort on everyone’s part.  You all gave great lesson after great lesson, no matter how many people were here.  So a big THANKS to all of you.

Here is this week’s news:

Scheduling Needs –

·        World’s Largest Lesson on January 6thWe will be trying for the World’s Largest Lesson again this year!  Last year we were the biggest on the West Coast at 197 people and we are shooting for at least 300 people this year.

o   Guests can purchase the product online for $20 (This is a first time lesson only.)

o   If you would like to be a part of this, please email Mark.Fischer@skihood.com or Josey.Rice@skihood.com.

o   Please see the attached information for the details if you will be participating in the World’s Largest Lesson

·        SnoBlaster and Trailblazers start this weekend – Please check your schedule to see if you are scheduled for Weekend Programs.

o   We are SOLD OUT for Sunday January SnoBlasters and TrailBlazers and Saturday is also filling up quick.

o   We could use more staff on Sunday if you are able to come up that day.  It doesn’t have to be in Programs.

o   Rachel Jones will be sending out an email this week to everyone doing programs on what time to meet in the morning and any extra help she is going to need.

Extras

·       CLC New 9:15 am Cut Off Time – With the amazing amount of guest visits we have been having (and will continue to have) on the weekends and Holiday periods, we have decided to change the morning cut off time for CLC lessons from 9:30 am to 9:15 am.

This change will help our staff get through the long line and check the kids into lessons, get them into their classes and on the snow at a more reasonable time.

·         I must reply to tell you all that I had the opportunity to be a member of the public on Dec. 29- a difficult and busy day at MHM.  I have never been proud to be a member of this team in my 28 years’ service!  From seeing brother ski patrollers working in the parking lot, to staff holding open doors for guests and expressing genuine welcomes, to the lifties sunny smiles- it was very cool to see the product that our guests receive.

I must single out the CLC staff for their great service.  A seamless program, to be sure, but very aptly done by the people there.  And thanks to Nick Tool for great work (with our grand-daughter).

MHM is a quality place with a great staff- but it has to start with vision and supervision, so another thanks to management for making and letting it happen.
