Hello all,
Here is this week’s Instructor’s Update.
This Season in Review-
The SnowSports Services Supervisor and Management Team want to thank everyone for such an amazing season!
The beginning of this season started with us preparing to withstand another low snow year and wondering how we could provide enough teaching hours for our instructors. And then the accumulation of all our Snow Dances hit at once and we had the most amazing snow year we’ve had in years with a total of 478” of snow!
This season brought a lot of challenges that we’ve never had to deal with, like turning away walk-in guests, announcing on the website that we were full for lessons days in advance, and long lines in the Rental Center. Our lesson sizes were larger than what everyone is used to and our days were much longer with instructors helping in other areas like boot fitting and teching in Rentals, working a POS and greeting in Guest Services and helping check-in kids in the CLC and picking up extra shifts for nights or whenever we had a special program.
And through it all everyone continued to provide amazing lesson’s for our guests. You made connections with our guests and provided such an amazing experience. In fact, they liked us so much they kept coming back, and they brought their kids and their friends and other family members with them.
Everyone worked together as a Super Team through the crazy amount of guests that visited, you picked up shifts when you could, because you knew that just one more instructor would help with class size, you helped in the boot room, because that would get our guests out on the hill and into their lessons faster, and you helped in the CLC and SnoBlasters because getting those kids geared up and ready to go out on snow takes a village of trained professionals.
So again thank you, for your teamwork, dedication and amazing lessons! We wanted to share with you some lesson numbers to see the scope of what you all have accomplished this season.
