SUMMARY:Adaptive - How to be a Rockstar Adaptive Lesson Assist/Second (Paid

DESCRIPTION:Join the Meadows adaptive team for an introductory clinic about
  the role of the Assist or Second on adaptive lessons!\nAssist\, Second (n
 oun): \n\n 	...an MLC instructor that has completed the Rockstar Assist/Se
 cond Clinic and was evaluated to possess satisfactory skills. \n 	This ins
 tructor will assist the lead instructor in the lessons helping to load and
  unload equipment on chairlifts\, help when the lead instructor requests m
 ore student stability or help with transfers\, help carrying extra equipme
 nt\, and they will ski behind the participant and instructor to provide a 
 safe environment. This role can also help in motivating the student and pr
 oviding a safe lesson. All skill development must be under the supervision
  of the lead instructor. \n\nThe Rockstar Assist/Second is key to a great 
 lesson\, because they:\n\n ✓ Understand basic disability awareness \n\n
 ✓ Understand and follow basic safety requirements of the program \n\n✓
  Understand basic differences and uses of various pieces of adaptive equip
 ment \n\n✓ Assist with loading chairlift &amp\; carrying extra equipment
  \n\n✓ Learn how to help with assistive devices \n\n✓Follow lead instr
 uctor requests and suggestions for the safety\, fun\, and education of the
  lesson \n\n&nbsp\;\nClinic Info\nThe clinic will consist of time indoors 
 and on snow sliding\, come prepared with your boots on and equipment.\n3:4
